OUR STORY
Trusted Rhodesian Ridgeback Breeders
Our lovely Raksha has turned our home into a never-ending fun of laughter, playfulness, and unforgettable adventures. With her eight puppies, our life has become full of love, laughter, and happiness.

ABOUT OUR FAMILY
We are a family of five living at the homestead pr' Mišk. We are constantly in touch with nature and animals, as we are self-sufficient. Father Marjan has been involved with cynology and dog breeding since his youth. He was a judge and breeder of the Shetland Sheepdog and Bearded Collie breeds. He had a dog named Brada, who was an international and Slovenian beauty champion.
He transferred his love for dogs to the entire family, and we have always had a family dog. When we were small children, we had Bernese Mountain Dogs, first a female named Tena and then Lana. Three years ago, we were looking for a new four-legged friend, and that's when we discovered the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed. They attracted us because the breed is energetic, loyal, and primal. It fits our family perfectly, as we have a large garden at home and we are very active. We take Raksha on walks, trips, or she helps us with gardening (she is great at digging holes). After a busy work and study day, we all enjoy to watch a good movie together on the couch.

ABOUT RAKSHA AND HER LITTER
Why have and breed pedigree breed dogs? We believe it is important for pets to come from supervised and high-quality breeding. We think that the best way to ensure the wellbeing of the puppies and their health in adult life is under breeding and breed standards. When Raksha grew up, we first took her to a show where she received an excellent rating. With the desire to breed, we also took her for a breeding examination. She was assessed as a wheat-yellow, healthy female and was given permission to breed. We looked for a male who was larger and with a strong color mask on his face. We were impressed by a wonderful male originally from Finland named Finn-Bawabu Gamba Galadima (more about him - you can see pictures and pedigree under the tab: Father Finn).

THE STORY OF LITTLE PUPPIES
After the mating, we monitored Raksha through the changes and provided her with the best food, exercise, and also peace when she needed it. The veterinarian estimated the number of puppies to be between 4-6 after an ultrasound examination. We were indeed surprised when on Saturday, August 12, 2023, 8 little balls of fur were born. In the litter, there are 5 strong males and 3 graceful agile females. Our mother Raksha is really a good mom, for which we are very grateful. She recognized all the puppies by smell immediately, washed them, fed them, and was with them so they could sleep peacefully. They grew quickly and already weighed 2 kilograms in the second week. Now they are exploring the outside world, and we are looking forward to getting to know their characters.
